Hi! First off, thanks for even taking the time to browse through my website!
I’m Windelena. Very few people actually call me by my full name. I have a few nicknames but most people call me “Delena”. I’m good any portion of my name because I know it’s hard to remember. I often tell people think of Thumbelina and just switch the “thumb” with “wind”.
So here’s a little about me. I began my photography journey as an art major in college and then had a long career as a graphic designer working for major retail stores and ad agencies. I would do some photography off and on throughout the years of raising my family but primarily for myself. Once my kids headed off to college I decided to revisit photography and really learn the art and skill of it. As a graphic designer I was already a bit tech savvy but moving into digital photography from film had a steep learning curve. There was so much more I could do! I discovered I really enjoyed it and it kind of took off from there.
I specialize in high school seniors and creative portraiture but I also will do families and more traditional photography.
My creative photography is treated as a form of art taking a similar approach to doing a painting (which I also do on occasion). I enjoy putting together the elements in creating a unique image that will stand the test of time.
I am located in Port Orchard, Washington but serve all surrounding areas which include but not limited to; Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Belfair, Key Peninsula, Bremerton, Silverdale
I enjoy a good latte in the morning, hanging out by the water and watching the clouds roll by on a warm day.
I have two cats and a dog and a husband who I can sometimes bribe into assisting me.
When I’m not doing photography, I’m drawing, singing or traveling or just spending time with my family.
